BICP Workgroups
A number of working groups have been established in response to the growing awareness of BIM whose and their deliberations and particular concerns will be captured. These working groups include:
BICP Client Group
The BICP Client working group is chaired by Dr Claire Penny and aims to capture and investigate current client awareness, adoption and future plans for use of Information Communication Technology (ICT), as well as particular concerns in response to the growing awareness of ICT related practices.
The Client BIM Group have issued their first survey to measure current ICT and BIM adoption amongst clients. The results can be viewed below and will be used to set a benchmark for the group

The BIM Academic Forum of Ireland (BAFI) is a group of representatives from the Irish Universities, Institute of Technologies and Private Colleges which has been formed to promote the academic aspects of BIM. The vison of the BAFI is to foster integrated collaborative working on projects over the lifecycle of the asset through academic involvement and enhancement of BIM.
The BICP team surveyed members of the BIM Academic Forum in Ireland (BAFI) in Q1 2017. The survey was based on a UK BAF survey, which will enable direct correlations between results. A total of 14 HEIs were targeted in the study, 12 responses were received. The results can be viewed below
